Weird Heavy Attack and Parry Glitch

Just fought a Red Hulk in the arena with my Winter Soldier and I accidentally used a heavy attack while Red Hulk was blocking. The weird part is that I got parried on the first hit of WS heavy (because "Stand Your Ground" works with parry some times) but still managed to hit him with the second part and Red Hulk went down while Winter Soldier was stunned.
Anyone notice this before? Also just how broken can one mastery get? I was parried and still managed to finish my attack. I would hate for that to happen to me as I have to grind for my units, never gave them a dime.
Also my apologies if I should have posted this on one of the other Parry threads. Really don't want to hijack someone else thread.
