Medusa's AutoBlock Allows her to Parry? [Not A Bug]

I'm in the Crystal Cornucopia arena. I've lost only two fights and I'm at WS 13, so dealing with hard fights. The two fights I lost were both to a Medusa, who auto-blocked mid-combo and parried me. How is she able to parry out of an auto-block? Could this be a bug?

    Yeah she can parry. That's why she's a great defender. You could have just read her description.
