It certainly can, it's just down to how skilled you are with Kate/Shuri and how many revives you can muster. Kate and Nick have the attack and health boost during the Saga, and the monthly arena will give you sig stones and rankup gems that you could use to take Kate to R5 Ascended.

There are times that your champion is engaged in an activity that precludes you from removing the relic, but usually the game tells you so. Try making sure they’re not in a quest, war, etc.

For those looking at an Angela fight, this was with a 6* R2 sig 100. Pretty straightforward if you stay aggressive, launch specials, bait sp1, and basically never block. Heck of a long fight, but way more enjoyable than Absorbing Man.
