Re: An honest plea to save eq for this month on a super simple way. A plea to kabam.
One challenge is fairness for those who completed some or all of EQ already at this horrendous difficulty level.
Here’s my solution: hard reset so they can re-do the content in the scaled-down format and get the rewards a second time. Good for them if they were willing to slog through this garbage!

And one more thing —whoever cooked up this nonsense clearly deserves a medal… for single-handedly ruining everyone’s sanity and making a mockery of game design. Whoever designed this dumpster fire should be fired immediately. Like, escorted out of the building and never allowed near a keyboard again. Did this person even play the game? Do they even know how it works?
They basically took players’ base hero rating and set it equal to defenders’ attack. Are you kidding me? How did this not get tested? Are they that ignorant, or just lazy? No testing, no thought, nothing— just pure chaos dumped on players. Whoever cooked this up clearly has zero clue how the game works.

Re: Are you skipping EQ this month?
Rewatching the live stream, and I didn't realize they got the Kabam guy who does all the hardest endgame content to design this. Maybe in hindsight it wasn't the best idea to get the dude who creates the hardest content in the game to work the monthly quest.

I'm really curious what happened. I seem to recall something similar happening once before when they introduced a new difficulty level and it came out insanely overtuned, but the weird thing here is that they'd already come out with a new difficulty level that - while people had some opinions regarding which was the best format - still worked well.
My guess is that the whole "an algorithm (I'm guessing) is looking at your prestige and sets the difficulty accordingly" doesn't take into account that you're not really just using your top 30 prestige champions in the quest. Since you need 16 champions for each of the 6 quests, that's 96 champions. Furthermore, since all of your top-ranked Mutants probably aren't bleed immune/resistant, and your top-ranked Tech champions all probably don't have at least one armor up buff, you're moving even further down the prestige tree in order to find champions to use. That means that the "top 30 prestige" is somewhat misleading in terms of what kind of champions you'll have available for the content, and basing the difficulty on only your top champions (even quite a lot of them) is probably what led to this whole mess.
If this had been the old EQ format and I could have brought a team of my most well-suited and highest-ranked champions into each chapter, it would probably have been significantly less of an issue. I still think the attack values are insane - regular path defenders have higher attack values than both Epoch of Pain's Ares and Wheel of Fate's Deathless Thanos, for example - but insane attack values are significantly less of a risk-factor if you're not running around with an r1 7* just because you need a bleed immune Mutant and you don't have 15 of those ranked up.
I don't think Kabam will do anything, not because they're lazy or just don't want to, but because I don't think they'll be able to just pull a switch and lower the attack values. As they said during the debate about the Valiant EQ format, they can't even make any massive changes on a month-to-month basis. Small tweaks, maybe, but I reckon that this is something that they'll have to go back to the drawing board for and have a good long think about.

Re: Dupes no longer give you anything.. bug?
It's just a visual bug. Dupe shards are automatically added to your inventory.
Re: VALIANT EVENT QUEST - CHECK IN!
Funny how this reply sounds less like player feedback and more like a script from Kabam’s PR department. Tone-polishing won’t hide the fact that the EQ is a disaster and the community isn’t buying it.

Re: VALIANT EVENT QUEST - CHECK IN!
I want to add to my post why the new Daily Quests (better rewards are ofc appreciated) on autorun are worse than the old EQ autoruns. The thing with the EQ used to be that you had a whole month to complete it. So for many of us, people with jobs and families, it was very convinient that you can find a free couple of hours during a week, stack up on many energy refills from the alliance weekly and complete for example a specific difficulty in one run. The new daily quests are supposed to be done, well "daily", so first it becomes a tedious chore (frankly doing the daily apothecary run was my least favorite game part even before, but I wasnt losing much even if I missed a run) and second just forces you to do it or you ll lose a lot of stuff. Its even specificaly amplifies the need to play daily to access the Sunday quests. So in short: less fun > more grind.
