**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Alliance Wars: Compensating Alliances that lost to cheating/piloting Alliances

I am part of a Platinum 3/Tier 3 alliance. We play fair and do not cheat/pilot in AW. This season we have lost 4 wars total. 3 out of 4 of these alliances have been docked due to cheating/piloting (the 4th is under investigation for possible modding). The issue is that these cheaters get docked and then still cheat their way back to the top. There is no compensation in season points if you lose to these cheaters. We would probably be in Platinum 2/Tier 2 if we had not lost to these guys. I feel that Alliances that lost to cheaters/modders should be compensated in season points for those wars that were lost to cheaters. I also feel that if an alliance is caught cheating in AW, they should be banned for the rest of the season, maybe then it would be taken seriously.

The issue isn't season points or war rating, even though that's still a big deal (cheating alliances then face lower tier non-cheaters that aren't used to facing defenses like the cheating alliances), but the bigger issue is the amount of lost shards for the teams that "lost" to cheating alliances and lost out on winner rewards. We are an alliance that fluctuates between Plat 1/2 and we have faced more than a few of the punished alliances. They get docked, but we still don't get what we would have gotten had we faced a team that played legit 🤦🏻‍♂️🤔

There isn't any guarantee that you would have won if it was a fair match so you will not be compensated.

@DalBot I agree with you about losing out on shards/rewards from single wars, but I feel that most are after the season rewards when it is all said and done. (50,000 points)x (whatever tier multiplier you are in) x (number of wars lost to cheating alliances). We are talking about 875,000 - 1,100,000 points here, easily the difference in us moving up a bracket.

No guarantee we would have lost either but still stuck with loser rewards and a giant waste of time 🤷🏻‍♂️

The problem is, there is no real punishment going on.

Any alliance that cheated should have their match be a forfeit. The other team automatically gets a win.
This is how it is done everywhere else, except this game.

The reasoning Kabam don't do this makes 0 sense, and having minimal "punishments" is the cause of this keep going on. They know exactly who is doing what, they should perma-ban them, no excuses.

Given that there’s a 50/50 chance to win or lose, instead of 50k, just give the losing alliance 25k.

The punishment is weak and the cheating alliances don’t care that much. Look at mmxiv, they been repeat offenders in different seasons and twice in this season. The punishments were around a week apart, obviously they didnt care they got docked as they kept cheating.

Even when docked and having 1-2 players under suspension they will most likely still beat up on their new tier punishing the noncheating alliances.

Most of the top alliances (master) hit with penalties in round one regained their position in 2 wars...quite the punishment for them.

A new system needs to be implemented as this one is quite broken.

The fact that they resorted to cheating means they know they wouldn't win otherwise
