Why is there more nodes then allowable defenders?

If kabam wants to increase the AW difficulty let everyone place 6 defenders and have all spaces on the map filled yeah you'll need to add a few extra nodes but more fights = more challenge

Yes but the first layer of nodes are all diversity nodes anyway, nothing unique or specialized about them
