That always was a thing in the game. The champion of one side is reflected from the other side.
The 2nd screenshot is the correct one

Also see Bucky's arm, Cap's shield....always on the outer arm otherwise you wouldn't see it against opponents.

Kabam isn’t alone in that annoying visual. I can’t think of a fighting game that doesn’t do the mirror cheat off the top of my head. Expect that games will look like that forever no matter how advanced the devices playing them become.

The player controlled version on the left as well as the Champion profile are the correct version. The AI version on the right side of the screen is a mirrored one as noted above.

Not only are the characters mirrored, but also their attacks. The player will use their right hand but the AI using the same attack will use their left
