Old alliance reviving/empty alliance shell

So, few summoners may know of the old MMX alliance chain. Back in 2016 they had a 6 alliance chain of high tier alliances. Eventually, these alliances fell apart and few people remained. There are now 5 empty alliances with no active players. The same thing happened to my alliance last year. I was wondering if there was a way to access an alliance if it has been inactive for a while? It's set on By request and no one can get in without being accepted, and if it's inactive no one will accept me.

    Why would you want to join an alliance where no one is active anymore?

    What if those former members don't want it revived? Basically you'd have to contact whoever is the Leader of that alliance to get them to accept you then turn over control to you. If that player isn't active anymore, though, nothing can be done.
