Does count down timer for getting legend badge starts when doing uncollected

Hey guys, I know this question may sounds noob. Since legend badge requires finishing hard and master monthly event within 3 hours, but if I start with uncollected to be familiar with nodes and stuff, will this trigger the count down timer to get legend badge already or nah? Thanks!

They do need to update it to be Master and UC. Makes no sense to have Heroic involved now.
