Poison immune on the thing

Why can't I inflict poison on the thing. He isn't poison immune but every time I used my s1 with my Voodoo it kept saying immune.

Voodoo applies poison by nullifying buffs. Can't nullify buffs on Thing because of his node

You need to nullify something in order to get a poison.
Thing is nullify immune,you can't even nullify anything from him
