Because right now they are the top champs you can get. There was a time that getting a 4* champ was just as difficult.

It's hard to get 5 stars too but when free to play players eventually got them it was revealed that to get 6 stars and 5 stars when you are free to play, is to play the g a m e

4 months for one by only 100%ing the UC EQ, there's also war seasons(gold 1 minimum for 6* shards), act 5 completion/exploration if you haven't done it already

6 stars aren’t that much better than 5s now. It cost an extra t5bc to rank up and they’re only a little stronger than a max 5..
