Duel the Bosses Feature Request

Over the recent months there has been a significant increase in the difficulty of Uncollected/Epic monthly quests and the combined use of more and more ridiculous boost nodes. I understand the aim to increase the challenge for the top percentage of players, so this is not a post to complain about that.

However, the negative effect of this is having to play through an entire map to get your entire team KO'd and then you have the choice to either blow your stack of revives or units, or quit and start over again, which is time consuming and sucks the enjoyment out of the game.

As the bosses are almost always always new characters, there is no option to duel them to learn their move sets - and even if there were, the effect of the node boosts often massively alters the way they play anyway. What would be nice, would be a way to get a bit of practice and preparation in, in advance.

What I propose is to add in a 'Duel the bosses' feature whereby players can use their daily duel credits and their inventory duel tokens to fight the monthly event quest bosses with the node boosts applied. The player would select the chapter and difficulty, as per the event quest, but instead of going to the whole map and spending energy, they go straight to the boss fight and instead spend duel credits. They can then get a bit of practice in with the respective node boosts applied for the difficulty they selected.

I think this would really improve enjoyability of the game and help to reduce the feeling that the game is becoming a pure cash-grab.

    Just play Master with 4* or Heroic with 3*. Keep a strong champ as backup in case you get stuck. This way you can learn the bosses, their moves without blasting through them and not learning anything. Master has the same nodes as uncollected apart from one i think.

    I already always play through Heroic and Master. With my roster, those difficulties offer no challenge and do not help to prepare for uncollected. Uncollected will often have additional boosts applied. It would be nice to be able to practice against the Uncollected level boss, with all of those boosts plus that level's PI.

    The same applies for lower level players wanting to make the jump from Heroic to Master. Heroic does not help to prepare for Master or uncollected, and has significantly less boosts applied.

    What level champions do you use when going through Master? Do you use 3* or rank 3 4*? As I said, no point using your best champions in Master.

    I drop to 4*s but I don't bother ranking up 3*s and won't be wasting resources doing so. My 3* and 4* rosters also differ from my top team. Even then you still have to spend the 3 energy units per move to complete a whole map to get to the boss. Time consuming and boring. Wouldn't you want to be able to skip all of that and practice straight on the boss?

    The Infinity war Thanos quest was one of the best of recent times. It was a real challenge, but didn't require the player to re-play an entire map if they failed and wanted to restart.

    What I am proposing gives the benefits of being able to practice without the time and energy cost. It adds a use for the under-utilised duel credit currency (I never use my daily allowance - and have tokens expiring in stash - since the demise of Duel Skirmish). It wouldn't have to offer any rewards, just a meaningful way to practice with the team you want to use.
