Have there ever been similar references, like this one, to pop culture in this game? Just saw the crystal, realized the nod to Top Gun and Goose and wondered if this happens usually but I just miss it.

    Goose is captain marvel's cat in the film. He is probably named as a reference to top gun (cuz of the 90s aesthetic) but kabam named the crystal after the cat not directly after the film

    Oh, never realized that, just thought since she was a pilot and Top Gun has to do with pilots. Well, maybe the cats’ name is referring to it then. Thanks for pointing that out!

    in the comics, Carol's cat was named Chewie as a Star Wars reference. The movie's writers felt that in the 1990s, SW wasn't quite so current for a reference point, whereas Top Gun would be, so they went with Goose.
