Just beat 6.1.1

When I beat sabertooth this popped up and it said to check my messages for more,

If I upgraded these crystals when does the change take its place

That was since the update last week. The first time you beat a story quest that pops up saying you uncollected. Same rewards you been getting. Once you beat 6.1.6 you can restart the game and you get the upgraded crystals

So just to be clear it’s just a visual bug and you need to do initial completion for the upgrades?

The upgrade shown is from becoming Uncollected, which you already have, but since this is a new thing, it just happens to pop up the first time you complete a story quest since the update. The next upgrade comes after a full 6.1 completion.
