I understand why they took away the GB but to think it’s only worth 300 units is laughable. They think removing the ability to assist your alliance is only worth one FGMC? They could have thrown some extra goodies in there like shards or something because some of us, myself included, only bought the Unit pack for the GB. Guess it doesn’t help sales when we can just help our alliance mates by sending them a potion or two.

It is unacceptable. Kabam will you refund everyone that bought the package containing the gift badge.
Because a few abuse the system you decide to punish the whole community.

I was going to say the same thing. Will the 99% of the users who spent real money on the gifting badge and used it legitimately be compensated for the removal?

But why get rid of the badge all together? Why not just perma ban the users who were taking advantage of it?

My thing is: Kabam has made hundreds of THOUSANDS, most likely even MILLIONS of dollars during the Christmas Gifting Event. I do not think they were not aware of this issue back then. However, after making all of that money, now they want to remove the gifting badge although I am pretty sure this “fraud” they were talking about was committed back then too. This doesn’t affect me as much, but I think it’s shady of Kabam to do that.

This is inanely stupid. Find and band the offenders. If you know people are committing fraud, ban the fraudulent ones. You have likely millions of players who have paid the $30 for gifting badges legitimately and this is unacceptable. I know you're doing this because you are worried fraud is hurting your bottom line. You know what else is going to hurt your bottom line? Me getting a $30 refund on both my accounts. I paid for this.
Also to make the announcement without letting us know it's coming is stupid. I have 1000 units I farmed on my 2nd account so that I could gift items as needed to my main account for LOL, Act 5 100% and Act 6. Now the units are stuck there.
You can't just sit there and say, "We're indefinitely suspending a function of our game that users paid real money to unlock."

Having a 2nd account (that I made a purchase on for the gifting badge) to gift to my main. So...that’s all wasted now and no point in playing the second account 🤷‍♂️.

Settle down. I'm guessing they have temporarily suspended it due to discovering large amounts of fraud. It's a standard move whenever uncovering any sort of fraud or breach. Minor inconvenience for the time being.

I don’t mind them removing gifting but 300 units is pretty horrible compensation considering you need to spend at least $30 for it.

@Kabam Miike and company. We all spent money for 850 units to get the gifting badge. Why only 300 units? I would suggest you reevaluate your compensation for honest players who use the gifting badge responsibly.

If they're going to remove gifting that's fine, I dont like it but they have their reasons. But we Paid real money for the gifting badge $30 minimum. We should have a big compensation, refund, or re-enable gifting. The good players shouldn't be punished because of bad players.

No they are taking it away. Hence the 300 units for compensation.

It's been permanently removed and a 300 unit refund is being given out

It has been so long since I bought it, but didn’t we have to get the $30, 850 unit deal to get this? If so, why only get 300 units for it now when they take it away?
