1vs1 Arena - what's the point?

Hi guys, this one might sound quite stupid, but what's the quickmatch all about and what's the point of it or am I overlooking its usefulness?

- It doesn't has prizes, so useless for rewards
- It costs gold compared to duels, so useless for training your champs
