Questions for end game players who transitioned to F2P

How did you mentally flip the switch so that you were no longer playing the game the way you were supposed to but the way you wanted to instead? What goals did you set for yourself instead of "clear all content and get all heroes"?

I've completed 6.1, but still haven't explored chapter 5 or even completed LOL. I'm very low on class catalysts so I have a lot of 5 star demigod champs sitting at rank 2 - I'm in a laid back alliance that does Map 5/4/4. I've been popping cavalier crystals with the free units I've grinded the last 30 days or so, but I don't think that's a good long term strategy.

I make a good living, max out my 401k contributions, have paid of my debt, etc., but I'm not getting any good return on my investment any more as my odds of getting the missing 5 star champs I desire become less and less, etc. I'd rather spend money elsewhere but still enjoy the game - I just want to find some people who have done that who can share their experience.

Just chill, save units from grinding to get content done, don’t let greed overcome you just because an alliance mate pulled a good new champ from FCC.

You can’t have it all. 😊

Yeah I run 5x5 for the glory, gold 1/2, tiers 8-5, units used for runs at variant and 6.0 completion, I have alliance revives expiring in my stash, it's a good mid level to relax at and just spend glory on t2as for champs that will help complete content, at this level you can still complete war with a couple of God tier r4/r5s

@DoctorofEvil I never spent much on the game but used to spend some. The way I became completely FTP was a compromise I made with my wife. I argued that it was perfectly reasonable to spend some on a hobby/entertainment. She argued that it was stupid to spend on a mobile game. We "compromised" by me agreeing to not spend on the game lmao.

There is no "return of your investment" when you spend money on this game. You can't make money off of it unless you're someone that does YouTube videos doing crystal openings and gameplay and making money that way. But if you're just a player that spends money to spend money to try to keep up with the whales then there is not return in your investment. Sure it's entertainment for a portion of your day, but it'll never give you anything back worth the money you've spent in the game. If you have the money to blow then you're free to do whatever you want with it, but I've seen people on here commenting that they've spent over $20K in a year when they should be investing that money into something that will leave them better off in their life.

You are right deadpool87, but I mean even within the game itself. If you told us that for 2k spent we could have our choice of any 5 six-star champs and enough resources to rank 2 them I guarantee you we would see people whaling out like crazy. Marriages would crumble, children wouldn’t get summer camp, etc because the in-game return on investment would be huge. Instead I saw a seatin video on YouTube where a whale spent 2k on cavalier crystals and ended up only rolling 1 six-star champ. That’s not even enticing.

As for the OP - focus on getting all your good five star champs slowly to rank 3 and finishing all content. In that sense NOT rolling more champs is a good thing since you can actually catch up on rank 4ing all of your god tier champs as well.

Nothing is worse than rolling new OP champs you have no resources for. Upgrade your roster while you can

Reading 6.2 the champion abilities will most likely end it for me. Doing that 10 times no thanks. I am slowly stepping away alliance does not care wat we run aq 5 with 1 map6 to stop the monotonous play of 5. With summer coming makes it easier to step back.

I thought act 4 was long but this is getting out of hand lol
