People have already figured it out on the forums. If your champs are in any quest thier PI from that quest, due to synergies, are being reported in your champion list. This means that while when you take them out of a quest that thier PI will appear to drop due to the loss of PI from synergies.

I could see that happening but my champs are out of quest and the PI is still the same

Ah nevermind. They are my champs that are placed in AW defense
