Map 5 Hyperion getting power gain after its nullified

I was fighting Hyperion with Sym Supreme on map 5 and he immediately procced a second power gain when one got staggered at least two times. It doesn’t happen every time. I tried recording it but wasn’t able to.

    Did he used a sp3 and had 1/2/3 cosmic charges?
    If so, they will be converted into power gain buffs one at a time, whenever there isnt one active yet
