AW Spite Bug?

Unless there’s something I’m missing here that someone can point out, node 3 spite node in AW appears to bugged. First dang fight of the war I took Corvus in against a 6* Cap IW, and spite was active the whole time. From start to finish. He was gaining power faster than I could do anything about and ended up dying from SP3. And no, I didn’t have any cruelty buffs because it was the first fight. I didn’t dex at all either. And I’m pretty sure glaive charges don’t count as buffs?

Hey there, Corvus Glaive has a True Damage Buff while he has Glaive Charges left. That could be what is activating the Spite node.
