Gamora silent nerf

Noticed gamora in rol wasn't gaining fury or cruelty much beyond 5 or 6 where as when she first was reworked she gained them upward of 10-20 fairly easy

Is she 'working as intended'?

I swear her cruelty was nerfed
I had like 4 the other day used a sp1 and did like 7k with a 4* and know with the same amount of the cruelty’s and team it does like 6k against the same person(rol ws)

There's a lot of stuff people think/thought to be silent nerfs, that's why you have this idea of there being any.

- archangel bypassing stun immunity with his neurotoxin? Neither a nerf, nor silent - listed bug fix.
- sabretooth + killmonger synergy bypassing astral evade? Neither a nerf, nor silent - listed obvious bug fix (people debated this for days claiming it was a silent nerf, while mordo has always been immune to passive aar and should have never interacted with that synergy in that way)
- nick fury synergy bug? Neither a nerf, nor silent - listed bug fix.

Give me factual information, otherwise "silent nerfs" in this game are quite literally a myth.

Technically there were several at 12.0 who got hit with the crit/armour break *Nerf* unannounced like storm and iron fist but the diminishing returns technically wasn't silent just not expected how much it was going to affect some of those champs. And while I tend to agree with you I can't think of examples of genuine silent nerfs, there are often bugs that affect certain champs abilities, which when brought to kabams attention are fixed though sometimes it takes several monthe, so op could have just asked the question differently is gamora working as intended, though I do have to question whether he understands that a heavy attack is required to reset the timer on her fury countdowns, meaning failing to stack furies in a long fight like ws is a technique problem, not even an rng issue (keep resetting the timer, keep stacking furies)

Nah, mate. I guess I'm essentially not even talking to you in particular.

Some people on here are so deep into believing in those silent nerfs that they immediately jump to that conclusion, whichever bug they encounter or whichever interaction they don't properly understand.

I'm actually glad if you're not so serious about this, but I'm asking anyone who is to give me an actual example of a silent nerf.

By the way, I'm basically always going to reply as much in-depth as I see fit, according to the point I'm trying to make. So don't feel pressured to reply, if there's nothing you can say.

Here's the problem... There are no "silent nerfs" happening, but there ARE champion bugs that impact the players that stay unresolved for months and months and months, then sometimes NEVER get resolved or become "working as intended". That HAS happened, and it creates animosity with between the game team and the players. When the track record is this bad, people tend to "see" these silent nerfs to their favorite champs, when in fact it's just RNG or whatever.

I have a recording of gamora the night she was buffed
I got up to 12+ both fury and cruelty quickly and dropped ws in around 74 hits after messing up and losing the fury and cruelty

Last night a perfect game and i couldnt surpass 8 fury and around 12 cruelty -- and never lost any of them.
And the fight took around 200 hits

I used the term 'silent nerf' not entirely literally -- could of used 'bugged' also.

Im wondering if anyone else noticed her not working like she was when she was first buffed

Issues like backdraft intercepts not working, corvus taking damage from coldsnap on freezerburn node, symb supreme not nullifying buffs at the outset (all reported bugs in the bugs section of the forum, but which have been completely ignored and not acknowledged thus far), could conceivably qualify as "silent nerfs" - at least until they are acknowledged as bugs.

You can't just call any bug a "silent nerf." Regardless of their impact, intentions do matter. Just because a mod doesn't respond to every single thread created about a problem doesn't mean it's intentional or they don't care.

Bugs will always exist, that is the nature of liver service gaming. It's not a kabam problem, it's an industry wide issue.

The best we can hope for is the bugs aren't seriously game breaking.

How do you distinguish a bug from a silent nerf? A bug is an unintended change whereas a silent nerf is an intended change.

In the absence of any indication as to whether the change is intended, you cannot tell whether the change is a bug or a silent nerf. That's all I'm saying.

I'm not one of the "silent nerf" crowd, never called that out a single time, but lumping the AA "fix" in that list as just a standard fix is really lacking in context. You're talking about something that was confirmed as working intended, left that way for something like 8 months, then suddenly changed and called a fix. And I may be recalling the info wrong but I don't think it was initially included in the change notes until brought up here, but I could be mistaken there. I'd say that comes closest but overall I agree theres not this percieved pattern of changes being made behind the scenes.

The AA fix was indeed included in the patch notes.
