Clarification around The Champion final phase needed after v24.1 update

According to V 24.1 change log -
BUG FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS:
• CHAMPION (Act 6.2): Clarified description to indicate that Damage Over Time Effects can still damage Champion in his final phase.
Does anyone know what this actually means? Isn't he supposed to be indestructible until you get 5 prowess charges, at which point even a sp1 for a r4 champ will likely take him out.
