Tier 6 catalysts?

What’s up with the Tier 6 catalyst option in the inventory?
Is this a requirement for ranking up 6* champs?
Or are 7* champs on the horizon?

    It is almost certainly the case that tier 6 catalysts will be required to upgrade 6* champs to rank 4 and rank 5. At the moment they don't exist in the game, or rather there's no way to earn them. T5 class catalyst fragments were only relatively recently introduced, and I don't think T6 cats are going to be available any time soon. At the moment there aren't any rank 3 6* champs in any quantity to rank to rank 4 in the first place.

    That's a good point. If they follow the 5* pattern, 6* rank 3->4 would require the T3 Alpha, then rank 4->5 would require the T6 basic, and the T6 class catalyst would be a 7* champion rank up material.

    It isn't a guarantee that 7* champs will be in the game, but it is a safe assumption that if the game is still around either 7* champs will be in the game, or something that is functionally identical in terms of roster progress will be. There's only three credible possibilities: higher tier champions, top tier gear, and end game advancement skill trees.

    Gear seems unlikely in any normal form. And given how masteries work in this game, end game skill trees also seem very unlikely. That leaves higher tier champions, aka 7* champions, probably with some advanced mechanics as 5* and 6* champs have introduced.

    The other "possibility" that the game just stops adding pursuit goals to the top of the game is delusional.

    An interesting way to ad 7*s would be to make them have an indefinite amount of ranks. This would prevent any future backlash (if the game goes on to this point) if the time arose that 8*s would need introducing. Then on 7*s could be ranked up on and on. Might be problematic, but it’s an idea.

    That would not make any sense. You're trying to create a situation where the game can introduce 8* champs but players can safely ignore them because they can just continue to rank up their 7* champs instead. But that's the whole point of introducing 8* champs, or 7* champs, or 6* champs, or 5* champs. It is to force players to start pursuing the next big thing if they want to progress beyond a certain point.

    Yea. I was just showing how soon could mean super soon or soon could mean bases soon haha
