Block User on Forums

Is there a way to block someone so I don't have to see their posts? There are a select few people who I would love to be able to zone out completely.

You can choose to Ignore the Users, their posts won't be completely gone as you will see their name, but you won't see their comment unless you tap/click on it. If you are on mobile, switch to the Desktop/Full site and go to the User's profile, there is an icon beside the Message icon, tap on that and then Ignore.

I wish there was, I’d love a feature like this to blank out the small amount of people who are just there to cause problems and derail threads, but sadly there isnt

Yup, as mentioned, you can click on the icon next to someone's name on their profile and select the "ignore" option, though as they said you'll need to make sure you're on the desktop version of the site to access it.
