what’s up with dexterity

dexterity feels very off this past week. for example while fighting electro or iron patriot and they use sp1, i use dexterity. it pops up on my screen “dexterity” but i still get melted with the special. while fighting iron man, he uses sp1 and i use dexterity it works perfectly and i can continue attacking while his beam is still active. this has been happening to me while fighting most hero’s that use a beam of energy. what’s going on!?
