you need to study more.

soooooo many people were surprised that he went for so little in first round. (He was SO expensive in feature arena)

Anyone that watches the results could have told you he would go for more.

also, in arena my strategy is to decide which champ i want then put in ridiculous points. (8M for x-23 for instance)

but you cannot approach arena with sense of entitlement. it is ALWAYS a gamble.
