Old forum and Summoner who posted then

Two points.

1/ I am missing to read posts by certain Summoners who seemed to have stopped making posts in this new forum.

There were a few who helped out on Strategy and Tips and gave very good advice.

Then there are those who added color to the forum (good times :) )

Where are those Summoners?

2/ Question re champs abilities
There must be many new Summoners coming to the game and I don't see many questions on the abilities of "old" champs. It feels like all the new Summoner had a knowledge leap. The discussions are mainly on new champs.

Is there an intimidating atmosphere in the new forum preventing discussions on older champs ?

Older champs are pretty easy to use just based on description. Newer stuff needs more "finesse" to take full advantage of.

I don't think there is an intimidation factor, its just that after so long there is ample information on how to beat content or best use champs if one cares to search.

Take away the complaint threads and the forum would be very quiet.

People were dropping like flies in the older forums too, only to be replaced with newer people.

"NotQuiteDead" (or something like that) was falsely accused by our resident forum nazis (oh, excuse me, "alt-players") of being a kabam shrill or plant. He suddenly stopped posting back in 2015.

There were a ton of crybabies who wouldn't or couldn't make it to the top 10,000 (later 12,000) in the 3-star arena that stopped posting as well. By "wouldn't", I mean they would deliberately stopped playing the arena because they "thought" they scored enough. They were really fond of threads predicting how much was needed to win. I bet in real life, they go to palm readers to make important decisions for them. The cheapskates probably used the magic 8-ball as a substitute for palm readers.

And those who "couldn't" cried all day and night on how unfair it is that they spent all that "effort" to get nothing. The "couldn't" people clearly dominate the useless arena whining. The "wouldn't" folks are almost extinct now.

Where did all the "too much useless gold" whiners go?

When they get bored with the game, they found no reason to stick around in the forum.

Also, people might had changed their forum name to match their game name or vice versa (changed their forum name so it won't match their game name) when they switched over to the new forum.
