Should I take a 6* to R2 or a 5* to R5? Which one?

I have a choice whether to take a 6* to R2, or to take a second 5* to Rank 5. Because the T5 catalysts take so long to get, I don’t want to mess it up! Lol. I am very, very excited and I think I have some awesome champs to consider. I’m very interested in your input!
Where I am in the game is 5.3.3 in story quests and I'm working on Mystery in the Micro Realms, which has glancing for all champs except XL. Thing could help with that.
I am most high on THING and HAVOK. I love how HAVOK destroys champs with his SP3s and of course, THING is destructive as well.
I know AEGON deals crazy damage after a couple of fights, but because of the persistent charges, and my top guy, Corvus, also relies on winning fights, might that make it so there are too few fights for both of them to ramp up their victories?
Even though I'm not considering some of them, I am showing my other to champs so you can see potential synergies and what else I'm working with.
