I feel like not releasing the 6* r4 materials is a bit rubbish

There are things that aren’t actually in game yet, like t3 alpha and t6 basic. Kabam could make the 6.4 rewards targeted towards people who have r3 6*s and want to rank them up.

Raising a sixs must be a nightmare! At this point i am so over grinding for stuff to rank 5s that i don't really think i care too much about collecting 6s or building a roster even the size of my 5 roster...and supposedly there will be a 7 star eventually...feels like we are just being dragged under...my daughters boyfriend started the game 2 months ago...has reached level 55 summoner, aquired a pretty decent 4 star roster and 2 five stars and QUIT the game already. Having accomplished in 2 months, what took those of us here at the beginning a year or more to achieve, he STILL thinks it is taking too long to get anywhere...
OH! And as far as the t5b and t5c? Don't count on seeing much more of it till they do announce 7. That has been the pattern all along...and kabam is predictable if nothing else. So the longer it takes to release the 7s, the longer you will have to endure. WILL YOU?

They have made t2a t1a and t4b much more available. you get them through quests arena and glory store. They are also giving them away just for logging in on the monthly calendar. This game is as much about resource management as it is about beating content. The rate you get these resources is all down to the effort you put into the game. The only rare resources are for taking up a 6* to rank 3 (which it sounds like you aren't interested in anyway at this time) I have over a hundred 5*s almost all with multiple dupes. Its easy enough to get 3 a month now if you invest the time in the game. Almost 80% of my 5* are at rank 3 and above. I stopped investing resources into 4*s and below a long time ago because like I said its about resource management. I'm far from a hard core player and rarely if ever spend on this game. I've definitely hit a few resource droughts when taking champs above rank 3 in 5* and rank 2 in 6* but they are short lived. Kabam has done a great job of making resources more plentiful it just seems from your post you are not managing or doing the content to obtain them.

You want access to the top resources without even being in a Gold alliance? Are you even in an alliance that gets a decent AQ score? Have you finished the single player content like Act 6 and the Variants? Because if not it sounds like you want top level resources without having the ability to complete top level content, and I’m sure logically you understand the issue with that.

Of course the broad answer to this question is that higher level resources do become available with time. Go back a few years and read posts and view videos when there were hardly any 5*s, or you couldn’t take a 5* beyond r4. The relevant resources for that like T4b and T4CC have become significantly more common, and that will only increase as time goes on, along with the others. But that has to be gradual, otherwise all sense of genuine progression and development in the game will be lost.

Personally I take the view the fact that different players think that different resources need to be more readily available is a sign that the balance of availability is probably about right.

Dude, t5b is still meant to be rare. Kabam just can't hand you over fully formed t5b and t2a like t1a. It's still too soon. Also, if you do map6 regularly, you should already be swimming in t2a

Been playing since month 2 or 3 of the release. Again only an occasional spender for units when I run out and really don't feel like grinding. Feel free to look up my account in game I don't miss many arenas. I barely do aw and I know this limits my rankup materials. My alliance does 3 bgs 5 4 and 3 for maps daily occasionally throwing in a map 6 for fun. We aren't hard core but still receive enough glory to rank up champs regularly on every solo event. With your rating, number of 5*s and complaining about resources I'm going to guess you are still investing a lot of resources into 4* champs and probably haven't pushed for cavalier yet. Again it's all about resource management and how much you put into the game. Also variants can all be done with any start champs. Have you completed those for the rankup resources? The squirrel store is just a bunch of FREE bonus items. Complaining because you feel the amount of t5b they are GIVING YOU FOR FREE is equivalent to a child complaining his free icecream cone isn't big enough. You have been around the contest nearly as long as I have if not longer and if I recall you used to brag about being a solo player for a lot of that time. You basically stunted your account growth during that time and are now claiming the lack of resources are the game teams fault. If you want more push the harder content they are not going to just hand you the resources to rank 5 your whole account you have to work for them

Gave kabam too much credit...and as far as the gloy store i am splitting my spending between the t4 and t5b because there isn't enough t4b in the game, including that lame arena i play everytime it comes up.

“I’m 857k rating” - I still think Account Rating means something.

“I am a free player and it appears one of the few left in the forum” - My account is so bad that that everyone else whose roster is better than mine must have spent their way to theirs.

“Just in a gold tier alliance” - I’m not even in a Gold 3 Alliance and I’m complaining about resources to R5/R2 Champs.

“Top alliances have always had near exclusive access to higher tier ranking items” - I can’t join a top alliance and I’m salty that they get to get the rewards that they are getting while I can’t.

“I got 50 5*s and half a T5b” - I just started being able to 100% explore Uncollected EQ a few months ago, and have not done even a pass of Act 6 to get ONE T5B.

“I’ve been buying from the glory store” - I earn very little glory from AQ.

“50 Champs and 6 Awakened” - I’ve opened around 56-60 5* Crystals since I’ve started my account.

Again resource management. They are giving t4b in arena, heroic and master eq, and this month for free in the squirrel store not to mention the free t4b you get in the calendar. Are you overflowing on t2a? Where are you in regular quest and variant? Variant alone saves you rankup resources with the rankup gems? What are you investing your resources into for rankings? If you are wasting t4b on 4*s that could be your issue

857k rating and u haven't even explored act 5??
I have a 550k rating and 5 R5 5* and the only time I have spent on the game is for one of the cyber weekend offers this year which contained 60 5* sig stones...and all this without spending hours on the game everyday..so please don't preach about grinding when clearly u play the amount that any other normal player does...t5b is getting more accessible every month..if u are a cavalier in a decently active alliance doing 5x5 aq u can get 2 t2a per month without much effort...i don't know where u grind in the game but it certainly isn't the right place

@Rap If I were you I would recommend changing your maps for AQ. Doing map 4 instead of map 3 will give u more points even if u don't complete it. This will help your alliance increase glory and map crystals. Those extra points hopefully will get your alliance to the next tier in AQ.

sir, it seems like a bunch of your 5s are r4 or r3. maybe you can restrain yourself from ranking up every god tier / utility / favorite champ you get. also have you done the variant quests? those have rank up gems saving you resources for r5 rank ups. and maybe join an active alliance capable of map 5 and get those rankup materials from there. you really have to exercise patience and self control if you want r5s or r2 6s. i got two r2 6s and 1 r5 5s. I still got a bunch of rank up gems.

We just got r3 6* appearing in game after a long wait. Why would r4 6* already be coming? Both on controlled progression of the game and for kabam monetizing the game this makes no sense and is completely irrational to expect.

What I understand is that you want to rank up everything, so you don't have to choose which things to rank up. Except choices like that are fundamental to games like this: almost no one will ever get to do everything, acquire everything, and rank up everything. Completists either have to be incredibly wealthy (not even COWhale has literally everything literally ranked to max rank) or focus on single player games, where the game isn't constantly adding things to the game and isn't built around the premise of players chasing after things in the game.

If you think "enough" is "everything" you're not going to be happy playing progressional games, unless you're playing a Roblox game competing against eight year olds. And maybe not even then.

Well, for one thing I think anyone who claims to play and grind a ton but is bottlenecked by T4B rather than T2A is not going to be running through Act 6.4 harvesting T6 basics. So when they agree with the OP to increase the top tier rank up rewards in the highest tier of the game content when that will likely have zero impact on their gameplay, I think we all missed something.

You aren't even in a gold alliance? It sounds like your progress is too slow because you haven't progressed to a better alliance.

I don't even know what being in a gold alliance has to do with anything here. It sounds like someone who has a vague idea that "gold alliance" means "high alliance" means something something. But actually, when we're talking about rank up materials AQ generally has a far bigger impact than AW.

A Gold 1 AW alliance is going to get 9k T5B (20%), 18k T2A (50%), one T4CC crystal, and whatever drops out of three war crystals, once every six weeks. In the same six weeks you'll cycle through about five AQ weeks (eight days). Even a map 3/4 alliance is going to get enough glory to buy at least 4500 T5B fragments every week (1850 glory): that's 22500 T5B fragments. Plus a ton of AQ Map crystals.

The Platinum and Master rewards get interesting when it comes to T5B, if that's your bottleneck. But outside of that AQ tends to be more rank up resource profitable than AW. And it doesn't take a huge amount of effort to extract significant value out of the glory store.

For the amount of difficulty and the limitations to the hit count that you experience with even a r3 6 star in the Abyss they should have given a r4 6 star reward for exploration. Just one though and I think that would totally justify what we're going to face in less than a week. Great post whoever started this thread.

There is no 6.5. 6.4 is the end of the current story arc and something else starts after.

If they allowed the first people into the abyss with R4 6*s... they could actually one shot those champs.... and lose out on tens of thousands of dollars.

You're not entirely wrong, but that's actually not taking the thought process to its logical conclusion. The correct conclusion is if Kabam thought R4s were going to exist at or soon after the Abyss launched, the content would have been designed on the assumption that players were going to be bringing R4s in the first place. It would be harder, so R4's wouldn't have an advantage. Instead, R3s (and the players using them) would be at a disadvantage.

It is true that Kabam like all game operators has to make money, but like most F2P operators they have to decide what to sell. If they sell a "thing" that thing becomes a paywall to the game: buy the thing, or not have the thing. Instead, Kabam sells speed, and they sell it to the impatient. If you're patient you can eventually do everything for free. If you want to do it now, you'll need some combination of skill, roster, and resources, and two of those require either a lot of time invested in the game or a lot of money spent in the game, or some combination of both to get quickly. By selling speed rather than paywall items the only paywall that really exists is impatience.

The whales get there first, the hard core players that aren't whales get there second, and everyone else follows. In order for this model to work, there has to be a "there" for whales to get to first, or you won't have any whales. And without them, you have to charge everyone else more for everything else to make up the difference.
