Crystal interruption

Soo I get when you open crystals it's a random pick for what ever champion it picks but, every time it's about to stop on a four star it's stops prematurely I'm level 46 and I have never once won a four star hero with any crystal, except the four star crystal obviously I'm wandering why that is.

The animation is there to basically mind-f you into thinking you were "this close" to a 4*, so if you try again, you might get one. Then you buy another and the same thing happens again....and again and again, rinse repeat.

Don't feel bad, most of us just keep maxing out our 2*....after a while you become numb to it and don't expect anytime more, so it's a treat when you actually get lucky.

Imagine the spinner isn't a spinner, because it is not. Imagine it is a long strip of paper, which is closer to the truth. The moment you decided to open that crystal the game already picked what you would win, but that has nothing to do with what you see displayed as the crystal spins. The game randomly picks champions to put on each slot as they slide into view. The way it picks champions to show is not the same way it picks what you will actually get. It is much more likely that it will pick a 3* or 4* champion to display than the crystal itself actually has.

When you actually decide to stop the spinner, or when it runs out of time, the game puts what you actually won, which remember was determined a while ago, into the correct spot on that very long strip of paper way off to the right. But the game continues to fill in the blanks for all the spots you will see but are not your actual drawn champion. Because of this, your champion sits in the middle of a sea of other champions, many of which will be 4* champions. So it is often the case it will sit in between two 4* champs, because there are a lot of 4* champs.

its completely random, i know a lv 60 player who has never got a 4 star out of premiums or featured hero crystals and has played for over a year

Long story short, if this were a gambling game, it would violate every gaming law in Las Vegas and Atlantic City because the "rewards" shown are not an accurate representation of the payouts.

It's like a slot machine set to show 4* champs at a 30% rate when their actual drop rate is closer to 1%. Like others have said above, it's a mental trick the developers use to give the player a sense of false hope to encourage them to buy another one.

It's also why I have stopped "spinning" crystals. Just click the "open all" button and dupe another 2* again.
