The game is repeating itself

Four stars used to be the top of the chain. Then, five stars came along. "Oh wow they're shiny and new and everyone wants one! They'll be more powerful!" Now, six stars are coming along, and the same thing will happen to them as well. This is getting old! What's the next grand idea for the game? Seven stars? The game team needs to get more creative.

They could make the next tier five stars and a happy face.

Nobody really wants Kabam to be "creative." They want Kabam to do something most MMOs don't do: allow people to permanently keep the value of the highest tier stuff without anything of a higher tier superceding it. No matter what comes after 5* champs, whether it is 6* champs or a way to upgrade 5* champs or something else entirely, the core principle of all those additions however creative they were would be to introduce something new that would in some way supercede the current stuff. What you normally get to keep in an MMO is the strength to climb the next ladder better than most players. What you normally don't get to keep is the top of the ladder.

A more creative way of doing this would not make people accept that change any more. It would be a lot of extra work for an expansion that basically the exact same number of players would oppose. Because no one is upset about not having more creativity added to their roster, they are complaining, in part about investing in the current roster and having a brand new one introduced that will eventually supercede those investments. No amount of creativity will cause a significant amount of people to change their minds about not liking that change.

This game doesn't have a clear ending so the only possible end game scenario is to keep adding champs and difficulty to the contest

Only single player games have endings.

I'd rather have them introduce gears then 6*... at least then you don't have to repeat the process of praying to RNG gods to acquire the desired champs and duping them. Yes you may start praying for something for gears which maybe adds a new dimension to a character or pushes them to the next tier of content they can handle but the RNG of getting champ all over is the biggest mental drain for me.

We all saw how the community reacted to the idea of Gears. The simple truth is, it doesn't matter what they introduce because Human Beings resist change, and some will not be pleased regardless.

I have a hunch this is not an either/or thing. I have a feeling that 6* champs are going to have additional features over 5* and 4* champs. Just as 5* champs introduced the additional combat meter thing on special three attack and defense, I have a feeling 6* champions are going to have customization options that 5* and lower champions do not have.

That's going to be better, in that 6* champions are not going to be just another identical tier of champion. And its going to be worse, because it will cause people to complain even louder that 6* champions devalue all other champions.

MMOs always have a pursuit goal. That pursuit goal was 5* champions. People kept begging for 5* champions to get easier to get. I cautioned that the only way that would happen is if an even rarer, even more powerful, even more expensive thing arrived, because there will always be such a thing in this game or any other MMO remotely similar.

Increasing stars won't help much , when champs are getting nerfed , the idea of coming with 6* champs , I don't get it , people are still crying for night crawler , Hyperion, magik and now 6* ..... it's funny nothing is balanced, too many characters, too many changes and nothing is going to benefit the end user. I wonder the vision of the leadership what they wanna achieve. Really disappointing.

Wait for Map 7, AW 2.0, the coming soon bases, etc.

The logical conclusion is absurd. 6*s then 7*s... then 42*s. At some point along that path, it will have to go MCOC 2.0 and 1*s again.

When will gear be introduced? Before 6* are available in 2018 and it's possible to take 5* to r5?
