Many players have learned to fight him and find him to be an easier AW defender to beat. Unlike classic Spidey you can at least shut down his evade, so spidey for many is actually harder to fight. Plus, his L1 is challenging to evade. Its just a matter of time before everyone else gets used to fighting NC as well.
Side note, with the addition of Iceman added to the game many use him to run paths thats typically have NC on them. They breeze right through him.
