Venom the Duck's Armor Crushing Sp2...?

Just curious - do you have to have Despair maxed for VTD's Sp2 to destroy armor champs? Thinking specifically of Storm (Pyramid X) in this month's uncollected quest. Thanks!

@Okaythen - I'm not totally familiar with Despair, but something about reversing buffs. I think it's more about the Petrify buff, but I didn't want to haul VTD all the way to the end of the quest to find out it won't work on Storm's armor. Thanks @thicco_mode!

Happy to help! The toxic armor increases the opponent's armor and causes you to do more damage the higher the opponent's armor is. Not related to despair, because it's a buff

VTD and some other champs place buffs on the opponent so despair does not interact at all
Despair and petrify work together to help reverse regen
If I were you I’d focus also on learning different game aspects as well
Hard to see getting UC without know what a buff and debuff are, no offense
Debuffs are usually in red or if you pause the screen you can read the effect the icon has
Learn what passive effects are too since they interact differently but in this case you don’t need to know that
Toxic armor just increases your secondary direct damage based on the opponents armor rating even though it sounds like a debuff but it’s classified as a buff

Just following up here - the VTD sp2 CRUSHES Storm (Pyramid X). I have an awakened Rank 4/40 4* VTD and the Sp2 immediately rinsed 60% of her health. FWIW.

I used my awakened 6* VtD with mixed Sp2 results. Could be because I don’t understand the node/buff interaction completely.

Twice, VtD Sp2 obliterated Storm X. Twice, it barely dented her. I’m guessing it has to do with glancing, but honestly I don’t know.

It was probably the glancing since I believe it’s like 60% but it should be against basic hits so it’s bugged atm

Quite possibly. All I know is that I was so stunned nothing happened from the Sp2 that I got annihilated when I was caught looking at her health bar and buffs.

You need crits alongside the toxic armour otherwise they don't necessarily do much
