Really needs to add your current usage out of the “5 Limit” visible on screen somewhere (like it is during AQ)

We're aware of the issue where the item limit is not being displayed for some and are working on getting this resolved in the next update.

If your partner is strong enough to bash through your current room, and then in the next room your partner is once again strong enough to bash through the boss, you could follow your partner's path in the 2nd room and reach the revive node and revive your team.
