Act 5.3.2 link node clarification

Ok the above stated quest, I saw 3 link nodes fire Howard the Duck boss. But I'm confused at this particular one. S
Should I just get to the chest and the link will dispear?
The link node below Cyclops.

    link node is gone once you hit the chest, weird I have never seen that before
