Excess items not visible in stash

After the inventory expansion I noticed that excess catalysts are not visible in the stash.. Will this expire or will remain in the inventory?

    T2Alpha, listed in Inventory as 20 out of 16. Yes, they remain in Inventory, not Stash. Any new ones you get will go to stash, but the 20 you got (during Sigil expansion) get to remain in Inventory even though Limit was reduced afterward.
