Possible Apocalypse EQ (speculation thered)

TP33TP33 Posts: 1,593 ★★★★
I was very bored so I came up with a small suggestion on a possible Apocalypse event (This does include a character bio for Apocalypse but it’s kind of needed here, I’ll spoiler it on case you don’t really want to read it). I hope you enjoy

Coming soon, X-MEN DESTRUCTION BY APOCALYPSE!

The event will feature an exclusive side event and solo objectives. It’s all about having a deep (but not necessarily developed roster of X-Men champions. There will be lots of fights and nodes intertwined with the many elements that greatly benefit certain members of the X-Men, a bit V3 style.

Solo objectives

There will be many solo objectives released throughout the month, all 10 will be released at the start of the month and then they will be rerun 2 weeks in (halfway through) the event to make it manageable but not too slow. The way the objectives are set means that you have to win using an iconic/special feature of each champion.

Horsemen (1) - win 5 fights with Archangel with DPS damage
Horsemen (2) - win 5 fights with storm/storm pyramid X with special attack damage
Horsemen (3) - win 5 fights with Magneto whilst the opponent is magnetised
Horsemen (4) - win 5 fights with Psylock whilst the opponent is on under 1 bar of power

Claws of adamantium - win 4 fights with Wolverine, Wolverine X-23, OML or Wolverine weapon X whilst the opponent is bleeding

Swords of steel - win 5 fights with deadpool, deadpool X-force, Venompool, Gwenpool or Goldpool with sword damage (sp2 damage for the deadpool sand basics for gwenpoool)

Skin of diamonds - win 5 fights with Emma Frost in diamond form

Death by spores - win 5 fights with omega red using DPS damage

Plasma retribution - win 5 fights using cyclops (blue team), cyclops (new Xavier school) or havok with special attack damage

Metal man - win 5 fights with Collosus using heavy attack damage

Upon completion of each objective you are rewarded with an ultimate mutant crystal if you are below UC and a modified grandmaster mutant crystal if you are abouve UC giving a 5% chance at a 5*, a 20% chance at a 4* and a 75% chance at a 3*. These crystals will be available to buy in store for 300 units each. The grandmaster crystals will contain 5* Wolverine (OG). (This means that those with less developed rosters still get a chance at completing the objectives and kabams money flow remains in tact as whales try to buy out 5* OG Wolverine, something that is sorely wanted by players). You will also be rewarded with 500 mutant points.

The mutant side EQ

All of this builds up to the side EQ. The side EQ will have 3 chapters each with 2 quests, and will be the normal difficulty of the basic EQ. It will feature a few bosses and even more new interesting nodes to buff up current, unused mutants in the contest. The EQ would be just below the difficulty of the UC EQ, there would also be a beginner difficulty without any of the nodes just the boss fights

Chapter 1:

Quest 1:
Global nodes;
Mutant domination - mutants have 50% increased attack. Also the ability accuracy of mutants can’t be decreased by any means and mutants gain +100% buff duration (it’s a mutant event what do you expect)
Beams of Havoc - energy beam attacks gain +1000% attack (this is aimed at making cyclops more relevant)
Boss - Magneto OG with a node meaning that if the attacker is under the effect of a precision their Crit rating is increased to 100% but otherwise the attacker cannot Crit + Crit me with your best shot (Cyclpos is a great option here. He gains precision off of specials AND he has +1000% special damage)
Story line: The X-Men have heard rumours that Apocalypse has arrived and laid waste to a city, they go to magneto OG to see what is wrong and he insists that he has nothing to do with it. Wolverine decides that he can beat the truth out of him

Quest 2:
Global nodes;
Mutant domination
Regenerative claws - whilst under the effects of a regen the attackers bleed debuffs gain +100% potency and duration (this is where the wolverines come in, sabretooth is also an option)
Boss - Magneto Marvel now with a node meaning that all incoming damage is reduced to 0 unless the defender is bleeding + bleed vulnerability.
Story line: Magneto OG, after taking a beating, tells the X-Men that they should head to Magneto Marvel Now if they wanted to find the culprit. They go to Magneto Marvel Now who they catch destroying a small village. They then proceed to beat the daylights out of him.

Chapter 2:

Quest 3:
Global nodes
Mutant domination
Mercs with mouths - Bleed debuffs done by #mercenary champions gain +100% potency. If these debuffs do under 100 damage at base instead increase their potency by 1000% (DPX here I come!)
Boss - Psylock. She has a node which permanently power locks the defender, this power lock is removed by applying bleed debuffs. For each bleed debuff on the defender increase power gain by 50%
Story line: Emma frost reads the mind of Magneto Marvel Now who reveals that Psylock is part of this plot, they know that Psylock will be harder to get information out of then the Magnetos so they employ the Merc with a mouth to try and annoy her into talking

Quest 4
Global nodes
Mutant domination
Diamonds are forever - whilst the attacker is immune to bleed, poison, incinerate, shock and cold snap they become fully debuff immune and cannot take any damage whilst these immunities are active unless they are directly hit (Emma Frost takes no block damage/passive degen damage whilst in diamond form basically)
Boss - Storm (OG I know she should probably be PX but i think we can’t just disregard the original and this storm is an easier fight in general) Nodes, Matador and EMP modification
Storyline: Psylock finally gave in after the torture of spending half an hour with deadpool, she tells the X-Men that Storm is one of Apocalypses most trusted followers, if they wanted his attention they’d have to take her out.

Chapter 3

Quest 5
Global nodes
Mutant domination
Increased lethality - effects that deal DOT last for 100% longer. Also the defender looses death spores at 50% slower speeds
Boss - Archangel - nodes, Biohazard (omega red is great for this fight but if you don’t have immunities it’s going to be a pain)
Storyline - After taking out Storm Apocalypse arrives to confront the mutants. He is NOT happy. He decides to give Archangel, his most trusted henchman a small portion of his power (hence the biohazard) He is contempt that AA will finish the X-Men

Quest 6
Global nodes
Mutant REIGN - all other classes except mutant have their attack and ability accuracy reduced by 50%. Mutants have their attack, crit rating, crit damage rating, armour rating, physical resistance and block proficiency increased by a flat 50% (sounds OP but really, it’s a mutant quest after all also these buffs apply to defenders)
Quest layout, unlike the previous quests this quest has only 1 path, leading straight to Apocalypse himself, prepare yourselfs for the fight of you lifes!
Boss - Apocalypse, Nodes basic attack and health up to around 40K PI also a node reducing both attacker and defenders power gain by 50% also Apocalypse begins the quest with 5 random persistent charges (read his abilities to find out what that does)

Apocalypses abilities v

Apocalypse!

Persistent charges: When Apocalypse knocks out an opponent he gains an ability from their skill set
Abilities he can gain:
Debuff immunities
Debuff shrug off
Debuff duration modifiers
Fury buffs
Prowess buffs
Regeneration buffs
Indestructible buffs
Armour ups
Precision/cruelty buffs
Unstoppable/unblockables
Power gains
Power steals
Power locks
Glancing
Damage reflection
Armour breaks
Bleed/poisons
Incinerate/coldsnaps
Shocks
Degenerations
Phrases

Maximum 10 charges

*This can be quite hard to understand, if the defender can gain regen whenever they are hit for example, Apocalypse will gain that same chance, E.G OML, he gains a regen recovering X% of his health at the start of a fight, once Apocalypse defeats OML he gains those same abilities, if he already has a regen ability from OML however, he can not steal Wolverine or deadpool regen mechanics as well. If a buff/debuff requires a mission/passive effect build up (like proxima midnight/Thing) the effects can only be activated using a heavy (or special with duped ability)

Heavy attack - immediately activate ALL buffs/debuffs he can from his persistent charges these buffs/debuffs will last for 1 second per persistent charge currently active

*in this instance if he had killed a proxima midnight he would gain the prowess buff not from a mission but from a heavy

Special 1 - this attack gains +10% crit rating for every persistent charge Apocalypse has

Special 2 - this attack gains +10% attack for every persistent charge active. It also power drains the opponent 10% of their current power per persistent charge active

Special 3 - this attack gains +10% attack for every persistent charge active. It also automatically steals the mechanics of the opponent and gives him a persistent charge

Signature ability - Wrath of Apocalypse

1. Apocalypse gains up to 5 extra persistent changes (based on sig level, for every 40 sigs gain +1 persistent charge)
2. Apocalypse can activate all of his persistent charges with heavy attacks as well as special attacks
3. Apocalypse gains up to +10% attack based on how many opponents he has knocked out in the quest (+1% for every 20 sigs)

This boss fight would be like the Thanos boss from last year just with mutants not Avengers

Rewards:

The beginner difficulty would give in total 5 mutant crystals and a couple 3*s idk

The Main difficulty however would be much more substantial

Chapters of the side EQ would give these rewards

Completion - 20 units, 500 5* shards, 250 6* shards, 1/8th of a T5B, 1/2 of a T2A
Exploration - 30 units, 1000 5* shards, 500 6* shards, 1/8th of a T5B, 1/2 of a T2A

The Act EQ rewards would be

Completion - 4 modified Grandmaster mutant crystals, 5K 5* shards, 1k 6* shards, 1/4 of a T5B, 1T2A
Exploration - 6 modified Grandmaster mutant crystals, 10k 5* shards, 2.5k 6* shards, 1/2 of a T5B, 2T2A

So overall the rewards for 100% will be: 150 units, 19.5k 5* shards, 5750 6* shards, 1 and 1/2 T5B and 6 T2A, more than enough.

I hope you enjoyed reading this, tell me your thoughts @Kabam Miike @Kabam Zibiit @Kabam Vydious your thoughts on this event. You’ve said yourselves that you have the model for Apocalypse, why not put it to good use and give us a fun event like this where DPX and Cyclops blue team are MVPs?
