Returning player

So I just started playing again after a few years off and I’m sitting on 4 star generic awakening crystal. So I was just wondering what champ to use it on? Main candidates are quake, iron man iw, maybe colossus cuz I heard he has been reworked and is now awesome? Or am I better off waiting to get someone else?

Before using the gem, I'd check out the changes to the game first. Figure out what's new, and how you want to progress, because there are many great options for awakening. Not saying that Colossus is a bad option, but there's a lot of choice out there.

Thanks for the replies so far and yeah I’ve been fighting some of these newer champs and I have no idea what some of them do. I played from the beginning, stopped about 3 years ago cuz I got burned out but picked it up again. I think doom would’ve been a good option but I was able to dupe him with this weekends arena.

For some insight, I plan on just playing solo. Playing in alliances got too stressful back in the day and I doubt much has changed in that.

theres no champ thats a mega-cheat code anymore, you need very specific counters for every situation. Anyone can do act 4, because there are no nodes. Act 5.1 is relatively easy, no specific counters needed. Post your roster here for more help.
PS. if u want to use colossus, try to get emma frost and omega red for synergies

My roster is admittedly not the best I’d say my best champs are 4* doom and 5* iceman

rank up iceman and doom asap. If you get good at quake, she can get you through act 5. Watch a youtube video on her. Magik, spidergwen, and old man logan are also worth taking a look at

Thanks doom and iceman are priority and it’s nice to see that champs like Gwen and oml aren’t total garbage anymore like from when I first played
