Is THING still good for 6.2 champion boss?

I saw few video today on YouTube and it wasn't that hard fight with thing but there were comments of him being nerfed so can i still use him for champion that effectively or was he changed with regard to this?

    Ya he is supposed to be very good undupe as well but not for 6.2 champion boss for that u will need his protection ability
