Does he need to be duped to be good? I was about to rank 5 my duped Hyperion, but just pulled warlock. Unawakened though.

    He doesn't need to be duped, the awakened ability helps a bit but that's it. If you're doing Act 6 then Warlock will definitely help a lot.
