It really doesn't matter. The character you are going to get has already been determined when the crystals are picked for opening. All that changes is the animation of the opening.
Honestly i like to see a same opening on same account with different devices. Bc i believe the whole spinning or popping isnt really accurate. So unless we see same openings on 2 different devices to disapprove this method i will always believe there is a difference.
