Debuffs and S3

I had an alliance mate use Mephisto against Sinister on AW boss. Sinister killed him on an S3, even though he had 4 charges on Mephisto. I know Sinister’s S3 applies concussion and reduces AA, but shouldn’t that take effect after the animation? If it takes place when S3 is triggered, then that feels like it contradicts other interactions I’ve seen (specifically power sting, which applies after s3, even though it usually says “when activating a special attack“). My guess is that mephisto should have gone to 1% health on the s3, and then not regen after the animation and concussion was applied.

Thoughts? He’s putting in a help ticket but I feel the forums might actually yield better info...

Well Mephisto is immune to AAR regardless.
