HT bug in AW or what?

Hi,
I must be missing something obvious but i dont understand why HT is gaining 3 smolder every time i parry him in AW. He did it against CapIW, Blade and medusa. None of them are mystic and they dont do energy dmg on parry...The nodes were Confusion and Force of Will. (Tier 5 war, far right path first node of the second part)
Anybody know why he was gaining smoulder?
