Calculation of Hero Rating

So I was trying to figure out how to predict rating changes with class bonuses (just for fun). A class bonus adds 40% attack rating to one and subtracts 20% attack rating from the other. However, attack rating is obviously only one component of the whole hero rating. I can't find anything online with an explanation of how hero rating is calculated but I'm still curious. Is it Kabam's forbidden knowledge?
