Player A is working 2 jobs, has 5 kids and can only spare time to login to the game two times a day (once on the way to work, another on the way home). Because he can only commit so much time, he joins an alliance doing Map 2.
One day, he finds out his co-worker just started playing the game and is ranking up champions and clearing content at a much faster pace than he is. He also finds out that his co-worker logs in 6-7x daily and is doing Map 5.
Jealous about his progress pace compared to his co-worker, Player A complains to the forums and demands, incessantly I might add, that Kabam make Map 5 shorter to cater to his commitment level of 2 logins a day.

My opinion is that there isn’t and I’m up to 95m from 92m 2-3 weeks back (and I reach ranked rewards for every level up event just for fun). 8’ also selling ISOs daily because of the sheer number of 4/5*s I’m opening from the increased shard acquisition of the recent months.
My alt(s) that do 0 (ZERO) arena, is sitting on 2.7m and 7.6m gold respectively, and they rank up champs selectively because their gold intake from arena is non-existent.

Seconded. I think 4 years back I had gold issues and after making it a habit to put in effort for it, rank wisely and selectively, gold became a huge surplus that I can’t seem to finish spending without running out of other resources first.

Ok so go into Act 4 and 100% I had no gold and barely any Iso. Now I have 2mil gold and 1k iso. Also, I'm only 80% done with it so I'm gonna get more
And that 2 million can barely take a 5* to rank 3. Listen I am ok with it but doesn’t mean I can’t see the shortage. I only have 2.2 mil atm. I am staring at a sunspot at r1 lvl1 and asking myself is he worth resources. The answer atm is no, because he will not benefit my account much and the cost to bring him up is too great. I have the cats, can go straight to r5, can awaken him too if I wanted. The gold and iso, for me, is harder to come by than the materials. It just kinda feels a bit backwards

Sadly, not many disagreed with the matchmaking issues. Idk about you and your ideals, but when 8-9k prestige alliances are in Masters and Plat 1, something is very wrong.

Fair enough. Unfortunately, you can't improve on a outdated source of level up materials. You need RNG luck, allot of arena grinding (time) and not having the urge to level/rank your shiny new champion, that would help you greatly against champion specific fights such as act 6 Mr Fantastic.

Luck is definitely a pain point. Time, on the other hand, is a necessary resource to put in. If you're not putting in the time, or the monetary equivalent of time, how do you expect to be rewarded? "Not having the urge to level/rank your shiny new champion", so basically self-control.

I have a modest to good account. In the last 2 months I have taken doom, corvus, and aegon from r1 to r5. Its not cheap. You don’t realize how expensive it can get but that’s cool. Good luck with the rest of act 4
