A minor inconvenience for notched phones in the new android update

This isn't a post complaining about it. I was just curious to know some stuff

So basically a new update dropped for me today for mcoc. I'm using android 8.1 I believe. Pre update the game looked like this

Notice the black bar on the left side of the screen

After the new update, that's gone (which is overall a good thing maybe)

HOWEVER, because my phone has a notch (and a sizable one at that) the left side of my screen, which has all the champion selection stuff during a quest, looks like this

Its slightly inconvenient but not game breaking compensation demanding.

I was curious to know from the developers' end (can't @ mods heard its a bad thing)
*Will there be an option in the future to have a "notched mode" graphic setting * (Similar to some other games, can't quite recall but maybe pubgm has it)

Like I said, curious. I honestly don't mind if there isn't the gameplay feels slightly nicer to look at I guess.

    If you turn it round to have the notch on the right does the screen orientate correctly?
    Might help in some situations

    I tried it for a couple of matchups
    I mean neither side is super problematic but inverting the phone to have the notch on the right side is kinda problematic for me because my right side swipes cause contact on the front camera lens. Plus the earphone cables start getting kinda twisty. I guess I'll just adapt to the whole left side update

    I have a question for all android users who have updated to the latest version of the game - Is anyone experiencing freezes (about a second long) in the fight screen? (the one where we choose who to enter the fight with) I've been experiencing rather frequent freezes
    (at kabam miike because ya can't ethically tag em)

    Haha, nvm then, coulda sworn I saw 5 stars 😂. Anyways, my Galaxy S10 didn't even get an update but it's not notched and the whole screen's always been used. Hope they change something about that for ya. I've heard about the freezes, but again no update, haven't gotten any.

    Go to settings> display> full screen apps

    Adjust it from there

    Actually I have an option to hide the notch. I did it but, on second thought, screw it. I kinda like having the entire screen and not having that one awkward section left blank. Would still be nice if they in the future add a notched display mode (like the original post mentioned) but meh gotta enjoy in whatever way possible!
