Automatic Auto Fight at Rank 16

I'm rank 16 and going through the story quests and for some reason I cannot control any of my champions. They always act as if auto fight is enabled (but the auto fight button is still locked!) I've tried all the ios troubleshooting steps including reinstalling the game and nothing works.

This doesn't happen in Arena fights only in quests. Can someone please help me this is really annoying.
