So, I've been having issues with controls, as many of us are. I'm also noticing my Tablet is not responding all the time. I did some searching online, and I found a suggestion on the Manufacturer's Website. This is available on some Android Devices, not sure if Apple has the function. Under Settings>General>Language and Input, there is a Pointer Speed control. By default, they're usually set to 50%. Try increasing it slightly, or all the way if needed, and see if it helps the game respond faster. Let us know if it helps. If so, it may solve a great deal of frustration. Thanks.
