AI throwing specials after and while auto-blocking

I'm playing on an iPhone X and am experiencing an issue where M.O.D.O.K. in Variant 1.2.2 will Autoblock my attack, and then immediately throw a special attack while he's still blocking. This is a bug, correct? No other champion is able to do this, and I experience it with every M.O.D.O.K. that I play against. Can someone tell me if this is a feature or if this is in fact a bug? Thank you.

    Kabam shut down the thread of the AI being able to throw specials while you hit into their block.

    So, this is not a bug anymore, it is by design.
