5* Rank up Gem not available to use

Game won't let me use rank up gem. Doesn't show as available. What am I missing. KABAM please fix

It is a one to two gem. From rank one to rank two

It is a red gem, meaning skill, from rank 3 to 4 with 5 stars. Maybe it won't let you use it because it is a 2015/2016 gem?

Nvm just now realizing can't use on blade. Saved that thing forever lol
